Diagnosed with Central Sleep Apnea but don't have any of the conditions that are supposed to cause it

I was diagnosed with Central Sleep Apnea and a little obstructive sleep apnea but I don’t have any of the conditions that are supposed to cause central sleep apnea. Is anyone else in this situation and have they discovered why they have CSA?

I’ve been using a CPAP machine and I think it helps some but I’m not really sure because I still wake up 3-4 times a night.

Anyone out there had this situation?

I discovered I had apnea when my optometrist said I “presented with normal tension glaucoma.” He said get a sleep study despite my atypical body and health issues normally associated with sleep apnea. I figure he caught an issue which could evolve into serious conditions. After a rocky couple months, I am settling into a reasonable relationship with my machine. Can’t say I feel much different, but my sleep appears less interrupted than before. Kudos to my eye doctor!
